My Day :)

I have had a great day today! So I thought I would share the different things that transpired :)

Me and my friend had plans to go to seven peaks today, but those fell through, but we ended up hanging out together a little later in the afternoon. I went to her apartment to chill for a little while and we went to Sammy's and got little banana cream pie shakes. That was my first time at Sammy's, and I was impressed. It was a cute little atmosphere and it was a delicious shake. When we finished our shakes we went to the mall to look around. Of course we stopped at the Downeast store. It is my fave. Alex got a skirt and I got a cute little shirt. You can't not buy something when you go to the mall...;)

After chilling at the mall for awhile we went to quite possibly the best restaurant, Zupas. I have been converted. It's one of those places like Costa Vida/Cafe Rio, where it is higher quality food than fast food, but it's not like a fancy sit down place. Fun atmosphere and good sustenance.

After we filled our bellies we saw Man of Steel. I am impressed with that movie. I was a little apprehensive about it when I first heard about it because there are so many different Superman movies. But this was good! The best Superman movie I've seen. Not to mention that the main actor is EXTREMELY attractive. I mean seriously. He makes Thor and Captain America seem not so attractive. Just sayin.

That was a fun evening that I had with my bestie. She's great.

When I got home I just chilled on my computer for awhile and am now in my family room watching The Office. I am putting off going to bed because I don't want to go through the process of getting ready for bed. Worst part of the day besides getting ready for the day...haha.

Anyways, I had this text conversation with my mom just barely and I want to share.

I asked where the sunscreen was and she told me and this is where it begins:

Me: "Thanks yo."

Mom: "Welcome."

Me: "Fo shizzle."

Mom: "To the hizzy."

Me: "Off the chizzain."

Mom: "Straightizzle to dizzle landizzle."

Me: "Nice."

Mom: "Yup. Izzle."

Me: "Krizzazzle."

Mom: (talking about me going to seven peaks tomorrow) "Have fun swizzlin on the slidizzles tomizzle."

Me: "You know I wizzle."

Mom: "Coozle."

Me. "Lovez"

Mom: "Dittozzle"

And you're jealous. I've got the coolest mom ever.

Jamming Hipster

Ok. So I had a HILARIOUS experience today while driving down University Ave.

There was a guy behind me wearing hipster sunglasses. That should say something right there. Hate those things. So I knew he was one of those weirdos.

I was stopped at a red light and looked in my rear view mirror. He was rocking out. I mean jamming! He had the air guitar going, some jazz hand stuff and everything. He was completely immersed in his music. And then when I thought it couldn't get any better, he grabbed the head rest of the passenger seat (there was no one else in the car by the way) and he started to sing to the seat as if there was someone there. At this point I am crying from laughing so hard.

People in other cars probably thought I was this freak girl for cracking up alone in my own car. But man oh man was that a fun experience. I am still smiling thinking back on that.

Thank you random hipster for making my day. Thoroughly enjoyed the free show.

Ok guys. I've been holding this in for fear of being made fun of. I'm coming out. I am in love.

I'm pretty sure that it is creepy that I just announced it like that, but you know. Whatever.

It all started when I bought his new c.d. that was released just after he left for his mission. It's really good, you really should listen to it. Archuleta lover or not, it's good. It's called Believe.

Anyways, then I found one of his songs that he sang with Motab for the Christmas concert and was like, this is really good. Then I started looking up his music videos on youtube. Then I started watching his video diaries on his youtube channel. I'm pretty sure that I am a 12 year old girl.

Just thought I would share.

My Keys...

Today I woke up to a beautiful sunshiney morning. I was feeling so good. I took a shower and got ready for the day. I read my scriptures and played with my dog. I enjoyed some time on the computer. After a little while I went outside to warm up my car.

My car had trouble starting..."oh no" I thought. But after a third try it indeed started. But I then realized I needed to scrape my windows. I actually enjoy scraping my windows so I didn't think anything of it. So I thought I opened my door and unlocked the other doors, so that I could get into the back seat to get my scraper. So with my car running, I shut the driver door and open the back door.

The back door is not opening. So I open the driver side to unlock it once more. But the driver door was locked as well. I feel like my soul has been sucked out. But then I remember that I have a spare set of keys in my purse!!! After what feels like a second of glory, I remember that my purse is in my car. Locked away. So many thoughts are running through my mind. My keys are locked in the ignition, with the car running in my driveway. Do I want to die? Do I run away? Do I call my parents? I don't know. But running away and dying sound really good right now.

I call my mom and ask her what I should do. She says to call dad. So I do, but it goes straight to voicemail. I try again, and no difference. I again call my mom and she reaches my dad. He is coming home from work to fix my stupid mistake. Meanwhile my mom has to come home from work so that she can drive me to work. That's not embarassing.

After work my mom picked me up (again, that's not embarassing...). She told me that my dad unlocked the car with one of our marshmallow roasting sticks. Because apparently a wire hanger is not strong enough. I am pretty much just amazed that he was able to unlock my car with out a locksmith.

This is really not a funny story. Because like 3 months ago while I was at my apartment for lunch and locked my keys in the trunk. Apparently i'm irresponsible with my keys. If you haven't noticed...

Moral of the story, I went and got one more set of spare keys today so that there will be a spare set at home and in my apartment. I hope I never lose these babies again...

You wrock.

Today 100% of our cookie sales at work go to Primary Children's Hospital. That created a little friendly competion while working. I have to say, I probably sold close to 30 cookies. Be impressed. Because that is impressive. Chick-fil-A's cookies are absolutely scrumptious. I reccomend them to you.

Anyways, while I was walking out to my car after work I saw a little green VW bug that was named tinkerbug. That is just so cute. There were Tinker Bell stickers on it and the license plate was "tinkerbug". Rosie-if you are reading this, I thought of you. Just so you know. I thought it was awesome.

Also, I go to Disneyland in 10 days. Be jealous. If you want me to do something in your honor, let me know and I will get a picture of me having fun doing it and post in on here ;)

Day Off

So tomorrow is my only day off of work this week. So I decided that I should be productive with it. I need to organize my room and go through everything that I want to keep and what to give away. I figure I should do that before I move out. I've noticed that I have way too much stuff shoved in my closet and desk drawers. I need to decide what has enough sentimental value to keep forever. I will probably share before and after pictures of my transformation. Because it will be quite the transformation. So until then, I'll leave you with a funny picture that I saw on Pinterest today. At least I got a kick out of it.

Buried Treasure

Wow it has been a long week! I worked 5 days and I have to say that I am a little tired. But it has been super good, don't get me wrong! I love my job. I'll be a lot happier when my paycheck comes :)

My dad has been making garden boxes in our backyard, and our little neighbors asked what he was doing. My dad replied saying that he was digging for treasure and that he had a treasure map. They totally believed him! They have been watching him creating those boxes for several days. Well, today me and my dad made a treasure map that they could use to find our "buried treasure". We buried a little box full of chocolate coins and they came over and dug it up! It was so cute! They thought it was real treasure. We shared the chocolate with them.

Darth Vader

So I'm watching Harry Potter all by myself at 9:41 in a dark and creepy family room all by myself (Just so you know, I caugh myself quoting some lines to myself before I realized that I was all alone and understood how crazy and creepy that was...). So I decided to post something. I wanted to share a picture that my friend Julie sent to me the other day. I should let you know that I was crying because I was laughing so hard.
