About Me

I wanted to let those who read my blog know a little bit more about me, so maybe you can understand some of my posts. So i'll introduce myself. My name is Katie.

First and foremost, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though I talk about all of the silly things that happen to me, or the cool things I buy at the store, I know that my worth is in Christ. I know that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father, who loves me. Nothing can make you feel better than this gospel. Never forget that!

I love a good laugh, I love watching movies. I love icecream and anything chocolate. I love scarves and necklaces and I love having a good time.

Here are some answers to questions that I am frequently asked...


 1. Where are you from?

I am was born in American Fork. And i'm pretty sure I lived in several places around BYU while my dad was going to school (I was too young to remember). The first place I really remember living was a condo in American Fork. We lived there for 4 years I think.

Then we moved down to Springville because we had some family down there. I made so many good friends here. I enjoyed my elementary school and my ward. After 4 years of living here, we made the tough decision to move to Orem in my cousin's home. They were moving to another house in the neighborhood and offered their old place to us. It was very hard for me at first because Springville was my home. I had formed attachments that were very hard for me to let go. But when we came to Orem I was so welcomed.

I was surrounded by so many wonderful people. I started 7th grade here. I was so glad to have my cousin Rosie so close to be my friend. I think it is in Orem where I really discovered who I am. So even though I had awesome experiences in A.F. and Springville, Orem is considered my home. We have lived here for 7 years I believe. Even though I am living in Provo right now for school, Orem is home.

2. How many people are in your family?

Well, I have a mom and a dad, an older brother, and a younger sister. I am the creamy oreo center of my siblings!

My dad is in the National Guard, and is a die hard BYU fan. I have always admired my dad for his hard work and dedication. When he works on something he does it right. He is such a good example to my family.

My mom is awesome too. She has such a good sense of humor. No matter what mood i'm in, or how hard I try not to laugh, she manages to make me laugh. She is not afraid to be herself. She has a light that glows from her eyes that always brightens my day.

My brother Josh just got back from his mission in Fukuoka, Japan. Josh has an awesome sense of humor as well. I can always count on him to crack a joke. He loves legos, Star Wars, and spending time with his perfect younger sisters...;)

My sister Erika is 18. I still can't believe it. Erika is such a nerd. She is not afraid to show it! She is always so willing to do stuff with me (except for when it is like 11pm and she wants to go to bed. Wha??) Erika has always been a goofball in our family. We have just learned not to question anything she does anymore. You just roll with it.

I also have a little black chihuahua named Kujo. Kujo is chubby and silky soft so all you want to do is snuggle with her. She's not like those other bony chihuahuas that are creepy looking. She loves sleeping and cuddling in blankets.  But she also has her playful moments, so you get the whole package with her!
