Jewelry Organizer and Frozen Yogurt

So my wonderful sister made me something to help me organize my jewelry in my apartment. And it is super cute too! I finally got around to hanging it up tonight. It looks good. And it's taking up the last of my wall space :) Here are some pictures:

My pathetic selection of "dangle" earrings. I have a lot of studs that won't work on this. So I will have to get more over the years :)

And my necklaces. The most important thing of mine that needs organizing. I love it!! Thanks Erika.

And when me and Rosie were done with that and doing out laundry, we went to Menchies for frozen yogurt. We were celebrating moving in. This is a picture of my chocolate dipped pretzel flavored yogurt. It was basically a salted chocolate taste Sounds weird, but it was good. I added reeses and hot fudge. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach though because I couldn't finish it. But it was delicious :)

I hope everyone else enjoyed their day as well!

Positive Attitudes

So today was my first Sunday in my new ward! It was awesome. It was weird because Relief Society and Sunday School were before Sacrament meeting. But I am sure I will get used to it.

Anyways, I stole a book from Josh because I really wanted to read it. It is called Happy Like Jesus-lessons from Jesus Christ on how to live. I have read the introduction and some of the first chapter and I wanted to share this with you. Just so you know, this is a book on how to find happiness and to be a positive and happy person. Awesome! This quote I am going to share with you is from Elder Holland:

"The Lord has probably spoken enough comforting words to supply the whole universe, it would seem, and yet we see all around us  unhappy Latter-day Saints, worried Latter-day Saints, and gloomy Latte-day Saints into whose troubled hearts not one of these innumerable consoling words seems to be allowed to enter...On that very night of Gethsemane, the night of the greatest suffering the world has ever known or will ever know, the Savior said, 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you...Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid'. I submit to you that this may be one of the Savior's commandments that is, even in the hearts of the otherwise faithful Latter-day Saints, almost universally disobeyed."

Isn't that just awesome?? I am loving this book. It is giving me so many insights. I am definitely making a goal to be happier. Why should I not be happy? I have no reason to be sad or gloomy or depressed.

I recommend this book to everyone. It's a great tool. Have a great Sunday everybody :)

Birthday Breakfast at Joe's Cafe

So today is my friend Hillary's birthday! Woo hoo! So Rosie had the idea to go to this place called Joe's Cafe. Hillary and I had never been there before, but Rosie had. It was delicious! The food kind of took a long time, but it was totally worth it. Here are some pictures of our food.

I got the Western Omelet with hash browns. Lots of food? Yeah! But it was sooo delicious! The omelet was layered with the different foods like bacon, green peppers, tomatoes, 900 different cheeses, and eggs. the hashbrowns were alright. I also haad some toast.

This is Rosie's burger. It is called Joe's Ultimate Burger. It was ultimate alright. It was quite large. However, me and Hillary had a taste of the hamburger patty, and it was divine. Very well flavored. I really want to try a burger next time I go here.

This is Hillary's pile of pancakes. Literally a pile. But they are small. I didn't taste one, but they smelled very good. Like they had a good flavor. And they were fluffy.

This is my omelet after stuffing myself to the brim. I know it doesn't look like I ate much, but I did. It was so much food! I did save the leftovers though. They are in my fridge right now :)

Rosie ate half of her hamburger. Quite the accomplishment! Again, we saved the leftovers.

Hillary ate about half of her pancakes. She also had eggs and bacon on the side though. You can kind of see them in the right. So she accomplished a lot as well!

So that was Joe's Cafe!!! I really hope you get to try it sometime. It was tasty. And happy birthday Hillary!

Welcome to my Crib!

My bedroom is FINALLY unpacked and ready to go. So I thought I would show you all the beauty...

Here is my bed. Thanks to my mom for finishing my quilt for me the morning I moved out!! Haha, I have been working on this quilt for over a year now, and now it is complete. What do you think? I'm sure it would have looked better in my room at home because it had blue walls.

This right here is my "photo collage". The center picture is the Oquirrh Mountain temple. I chose that one because that is where I want to get married. It is a beautiful temple. The other large ones are framed fabric. The smaller pictues are other inspiring pictures including the Timpanogos temple and the first vision.

This is our desk (me and Rosie) It might not look super clean, but it really is. The picture makes it look awful. My side is the right one. I must have too much stuff.

This is our over the door shoe organizer. You'll notice that my shoes (the bottom half) have less shoes. This is because they keep fallig off :'(

Horrible picture, but this is my closet. It's kind of crammed. The crates stacked in the bottom are actually going home today. I just carried my stuff in them while moving.

Yes that is Mashter Yoda on my dresser. It's Yoda as a Mr. Potato Head. Disneyland is the best.

A close up of our dresser. There is a pictue of my family, and different decor.

Here are some command hooks that are hanging my headphones and keys. Very handy.

Lastly, my new laptop. I just love it.

So that was a look into my bedroom! When our kitchen and the rest of our apartment is unpacked I will definitelly show you!

Health. Love it.

What's up everyone? I have been slacking on this blogging thing. I have been working a lot. That's awesome though :) $$$

So I have noticed, my healthy eating habits (I don't know if I ever really had any...) have gone down the drain. Not just eating, but being phyisically active has gone down too. Thus creating a flabby Katie. So I have made a goal. I have told everyone at work, and now you, so I can't back down. Starting when I move out I will be making some changes. I need support people.

First thing:
I am trying to stop sugar. Not completely, but mostly. I am going to stop drinking soda. That is the biggest thing. NO SODA.  Also, no icecream or making cookies or brownies unless it is like once every couple of weeks. I need to stop with the sugar. Seriously. That is my little weakness.

Second:
30 minutes of exercise daily. It could be whatever. Just somethin.

Third:
For my break food at work (Chick-fil-A) I will not get any more fried foods. I'm getting sick of it anyways, so this should be easy. Just grilled stuff or salads, or stuff from home.

Fourth:
I am cutting down on carbs. I can have bread once a day at most. I am focusing on fruits and veggies and proteins.

Fifth:
Water. Lots of it. It's good stuff.

Ok, I told you. Now I have to do it. Rosie-future roomate: I need your help. Don't let me defy these rules. I know I am a rebel, but I can't break these rules. Help.

I love you all. Have a good day :)
