My Day :)

I have had a great day today! So I thought I would share the different things that transpired :)

Me and my friend had plans to go to seven peaks today, but those fell through, but we ended up hanging out together a little later in the afternoon. I went to her apartment to chill for a little while and we went to Sammy's and got little banana cream pie shakes. That was my first time at Sammy's, and I was impressed. It was a cute little atmosphere and it was a delicious shake. When we finished our shakes we went to the mall to look around. Of course we stopped at the Downeast store. It is my fave. Alex got a skirt and I got a cute little shirt. You can't not buy something when you go to the mall...;)

After chilling at the mall for awhile we went to quite possibly the best restaurant, Zupas. I have been converted. It's one of those places like Costa Vida/Cafe Rio, where it is higher quality food than fast food, but it's not like a fancy sit down place. Fun atmosphere and good sustenance.

After we filled our bellies we saw Man of Steel. I am impressed with that movie. I was a little apprehensive about it when I first heard about it because there are so many different Superman movies. But this was good! The best Superman movie I've seen. Not to mention that the main actor is EXTREMELY attractive. I mean seriously. He makes Thor and Captain America seem not so attractive. Just sayin.

That was a fun evening that I had with my bestie. She's great.

When I got home I just chilled on my computer for awhile and am now in my family room watching The Office. I am putting off going to bed because I don't want to go through the process of getting ready for bed. Worst part of the day besides getting ready for the day...haha.

Anyways, I had this text conversation with my mom just barely and I want to share.

I asked where the sunscreen was and she told me and this is where it begins:
Me: "Thanks yo."
Mom: "Welcome."
Me: "Fo shizzle."
Mom: "To the hizzy."
Me: "Off the chizzain."
Mom: "Straightizzle to dizzle landizzle."
Me: "Nice."
Mom: "Yup. Izzle."
Me: "Krizzazzle."
Mom: (talking about me going to seven peaks tomorrow) "Have fun swizzlin on the slidizzles tomizzle."
Me: "You know I wizzle."
Mom: "Coozle."
Me. "Lovez"
Mom: "Dittozzle"

And you're jealous. I've got the coolest mom ever.

Goodnight world!

50th Wedding Anniversary

Tonight I had the pleasure of attending a celebration for my Grandma and Grandpa Liddle's 50th wedding anniversary. All of my aunts and uncles got together and planned a recreation of their wedding reception.

The wedding dress was on display, and they even got someone to recreate the cake. I was very impressed.(that's the original cake topper)

There was a program after we ate dinner with children and grandchildren singing and reading poetry and what not. I was able to sing Lucky by Jason Mraz with my fellow cousins. It was fun.

At the end of the program there was a video of my grandparents where they talked about how they met and started dating. It was so sweet. There was even some video footage of their wedding day. It was great.

After everything ended and we cleaned everything up we turned on some dancin music and danced with the cousins. It was such a fun time. I love my cousins so much. Every single time we get together we have a good time.

It was a very fun evening. I am so blessed to be surrounded by great family. I am grateful for my grandparents example. I want to have a marriage as long and healthy as theirs :)

A Liddle Update

It's been awhile since I've blogged. I don't know why, because my life has been full of so much fun lately! The summer weather has been amazing. I love being in the sun with every chance I get. I love enjoying the little moments where I can just sit outside for a little bit and relax while listening to music. And I get some nice time to spend with my little dog out there. You can't beat that! haha

I have also been putting in a lot of hours at work. I am trying to get as many hours as I possibly can while I still am available. I start school again on July 10th and at that time my availability will be cut in half. I have really enjoyed going in to work lately. I kind of had a phase where I didn't really enjoy it, but man, I love my job. I just get to work with great people. I feel bad for the people who do not get to work with the peeps that I do, because they are great. Awesome friends. It's definitely a family bond :)

And my bff FINALLY came back from visiting her fam in Georgia. I love this chica. I am very excited to start doing stuff with her again. And the 2 shifts we've worked together since her return have been the best shifts ever :)

Also, my dad has returned from his Warrant Officer school in Alabama. He was gone for what felt like forever, but now he's back. He's one step closer to being Chief Liddle. He has one more school that he leaves for in July and then he's official! I am so proud of him. I have always admired my dad for being such a hard worker. He has definitely always been a positive example and influence in my life. It's great having him back for awhile.

My sister is at Girls Camp this week, so whenever I'm not at work I am at home with just my parents. It's definitely weird sometimes. I love my parents. But I miss my sister for sure. She plays Zelda with me and gives me hints. I played it last night and got nightmares. No lie. I need her when I play haha.

I am missing my bro now more than ever! He is so so happy in Japan though. Reading his last email, I have noticed a HUGE change in him. He is so motivated and is doing so much good!! I am very happy that he is happy. But I still miss the guy.

So as you can tell life is going great! I am happy with how things are going right now :)

Friends.

My friends have been occupying my thoughts a lot lately. It is amazing to me that I am surrounded by so many incredible people. Most of the friends I have are unexpected. I don't know how we came to be such good friends. But I am very glad that we are.

There are certain relationships that are so great there are no words to really describe it. It is so great that I can know someone and trust them enough to talk to them about anything. I know that they are listening. I know that they care. I can tell them about the stupid little meaningless things that happen throughout my day. But I can also talk to them about genuine concerns that I have or struggles that I am going through. And in return, I can be a listener to them.

Friendships are not the easiest things for me to develop because I am a very reserved person. I don't put myself out there and talk to people just to talk. So when I stumble across someone who can suddenly be one of the best things that has ever happened to me is such a blessing. These little unexpected friendships have changed my life. I have a Heavenly Father who knows exactly who I need by my side as I make my way through this weird little life of mine. And I am so full of gratitude. I am so happy.

Lifted Higher

Do you ever find yourself struggling and going through a hard time but you don't really know why? I'm kind of going through one of those moments. I'm just getting a little tired of some things that keep happening over and over again in my life. Stupid mistakes that I keep making. These things distract me. They keep me from being the happiest I can be.

And of course, as I was browsing through pinterest I found these quotes that inspired me. I need to remember that no matter what, God is giving me hard times to strengthen me. He will lift me higher.

The Lord has blessed me with tools to strengthen me. I think the biggest blessings I have right now are my friends. They are great. I can't even imagine where I would be if I did not have people who I can trust completely and talk to about anything. They are some of the greatest sources of strength. That is something that I always need to remember! :)

Top Ten Moments from Glenwood

In one week, Glenwood comes to a close in my life. So I thought I would take the time and write about my top moments from living here...

1. Well of course the best part has been rooming with my cousin Rosie! We have had some very interesting moments. I have seen a lot of different sides of this girl. It's been great, cuz!

2. Rosie and I have a fro yo place that we love to go to. Menchies. So yummy. We have been there so many times this year! We even have a spoon collection. What are we going to do with it when we move?? That is a  very sad thought...:(

3. I discovered the shows Community, The Walking Dead, and Arrested Development while living here. They have provided some good times!!

4. I have had an awesome fhe family! They are so funny. One of my favorite moments was when we all squished ourselves to fit on one love seat.

5. I had a nail polish problem when I moved here, but I also rubbed off on to Rosie! Now we like doing stuff to our nails.

6. All throughout the year, I have had a problem with spilling things on my bed. Water, lemonade, Dr. Pepper, and even chickfila sauce. It's interesting.

7. While I was at a fondue party, we roasted a marshmallow over a candle.

8. One time Rosie was making cupcakes. They were very good, but the process was pretty intense. And when it came to making the frosting something went wrong, and Rosie ended up having around 3 gallons of frosting made. Don't ask me how this happened...It just exploded. I am never going to forget that moment. But the cupcakes turned out delicious!!!

9. Apparently one time while I was sleeping the lightbulb exploded. Interesting.

10. I have had incredible roommates! I really loved when Ashley came back to stay with us the night before she left for the MTC. That was a special experience. Leah leaves on her mission in a month! I love them.

11. I have had a great ward. Such genuinely good and down to Earth people.

I am so glad that I have some good memories! It was so fun to think back on these fun times :)

What's on the Hip Hap With My Life

I've gotten progressively worse at updating my blog... :/ But I will try to be better! I was initially planning on posting about my Disneyland trip, but my computer hates my phone and is struggling to upload the pictures. So that is coming soon hopefully.

Life has been a little crazy lately though! Since I am not in school right now I am working as many hours as possible. That has been so good. I love and hate working long shifts. They are definitely hard because I get so tired. But it is awesome because I am making more money, and I love who I work with. My last paycheck actually made me smile to myself. It was my biggest one yet!

I only have 3 weeks left here at Glenwood. It is bittersweet. I am very excited to move back home and see people that I haven't seen since last summer! It will also be rent-free, and that is very cool. It is so sad though because I have made some great friends here. I love my ward and my roommates. It is just now hitting me how much I am going to miss it. But it will still be good.

This fall I am moving to Alpine Village. It is right next to Glenwood, so I can still party it up with those staying there next year. I am so excited though. I'll be living with my friend from work. I don't know how I got so lucky to get to be her friend, but she is awesome. We are going to have some interesting times there for sure...haha. Alpine Village is also a million times nicer than Glenwood, and for that I am even more excited! It'll be fun to be there with friends while going to school :) So stoked.

That is a little update on what is going on with my life now! Pretty dang excting, eh? <=say that in a nacho libre accent please.

Also, Elder Liddle comes home in less than 8 months. I am missing my best friend so much. It's winding down! kinda...

Cousin Dinner

Dear people of the world,

I have to say that I have had a pretty darn good Sunday.

I was able to go to a mission farewell of someone who I have always admired so much. He is a little younger than me, but he was in my sunday school class back at home. A few days ago, his father passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack.  Because of this tragic loss, I was not sure he was still going to give his talk on Sunday, and ultimately decide not to go on a mission so that he could stay with his mother during this tender time. But he is still going! He is such an inspiration. The spirit that I felt during his beautiful talk was so incredibly strong. He is letting everything that is happening around him fuel the fire of his testimony. It has been a long time since I've felt the spirit that strongly. Thank you Jared for your testimony.

Once I came back to my apartment I took about a 3 hour nap, and woke up probably looking like I was on drugs. I don't know why I slept so long, but it was kind of nice. Anyways, me and my cousin/roomie were having some of our cousins over for dinner tonight. So we decided to prepare for that. We had me, Rosie, her brother Matt, and our cousins Amelia, and Lydia. Those 4 are the coolest cousins you could ever ask for. We were missing Laurel (Amelia and Lydia's sister) and Josh (my brother) because of missions, but we had an awesome time.

We ate baked bbq chicken with rice, seasoned green beans, cinnamon apples, and no bake cookies for dessert. So yummy. But I think the best part was being able to  have them over and to see how everyone is doing. Matt just returned from a mission and was telling us all about how his dating life is goin. Good on you man. Amelia is preparing to leave on a mission in Spain. Lydia and Rosie are working hard in school. You already know what's going on with me..

Anyway, it was really good to laugh with them. How cool is it that I am so close to my cousins? I think that is pretty cool. We had some good laughs about our memories of each other. The things we remember are so funny...

But that is what happened today. Sorry, this is a really really long post. Thanks for reading. If you skimmed it, thanks for skimming. I'm sure my blog is just blowing your mind.

My Job

So last night I went to see a movie with some of the awesome girls I work with. The movie was really great, but the part I really loved was talking with them afterwards. I love being able to say that I have friends from work. A lot of people don't build relationships like that at work. I just feel really blessed to be able to know them and be close to them.

Whenever I tell people I work at Chick-fil-A they are always like, "oh, fast food. How's that treating you?" Like it is a bad thing. But I love going to work. I love who I work with. We are all able to work together and laugh and joke around. Even when there are certain people who we would like to leave stranded on an island, we still enjoy ourselves.

Just thought i'd share since this is on my mind. Have a good Saturday.

Birthday.

So I have had a really good birthday today! I enjoyed it so much that I have decided you are all cool enough to hear about it as well.

At 9:00 a.m. my friend from work took me out to breakfast! I told him he needed to surprise me with where we were going. He told me that when I saw where he was taking me I would be asking him if he was serious. He drove to the mall, and was driving towards where we park for work. And I was thinking, 'seriously? You're taking me to chick-fil-a for breakfast?' I was laughing. But then Zach told me he was joking, and we went to Mimi's Cafe.

He got the french toast, and I got a Cinnamon Broche (spelling?...) french toast. I really enjoyed it. It was super sweet, but super delicious. It was so fun to gettig to talk to Zach outside of work, and i'm thankful for the time he took to start my birthday out with a bang.

Later on I played Harry Potter Scene it with my mom and sister. I love that game. Sometimes I disturb myself with how much I know about those dang Harry Potter moives though...

Then we went to Five Guys for dinner!! It beats in 'n out by a landslide.

If you've ever been there, you'll know that they have peanuts you can eat while waiting for your food.

We had a peanut that looked kinda like ET. Creepy.

After snacking our burgers were done!! The greatest moment ever. We got one large fry to share with everyone because they give you a massive amount of fries.

I got mine as a cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, grilled onions, grilled shrooms, ketchup, and mustard.

Worlds largest cup of fries. With amazing fry sauce on the side.

After lunch/dinner we crossed the street to the movie theater. We watched the Hobbit again! This was my third time seeing it, and it was still awesome.

And when we came home, I had my birthday cake. My mom made me a chocolate chip cheesecake with an oreo crust. I have to say that it was very yummy.

Doesn't my piece look perfect?

And now i'm finishing off my day by watching Groundhog Day. Classic.

Puzzles with the Fam

Yesterday I went home for Martin Luther King day because my dad was making steaks for lunch. Who would ever say no to steaks?? I have to say it was very delicious. Some of the best steak my dad has ever made.

While we were eating me and my sister were talking about Phantom of the Opera because we went to see it with our cousins on Saturday. So Erika decided to put in a c.d. of my dad's that has some of Andrew Lloyd Webber's best songs.

We have a weird tradition in our family that we always do puzzles with this c.d. playing. This c.d. and some other country ones that my dad has. While the c.d. was playing my dad said, "hey we're not doing a puzzle!" So I told Erika to go get a puzzle and then we started working on a Disney puzzle.

I don't know why, but it is not a fun puzzle unless we have our awesome music playing in the background. And if there is awesome music playing, we have to be doing a puzzle or playing a board/card game with each other. I love it.

This particular puzzle we did is one of our favorites. It is a Disney one that we got from Disneyland. One of the best souveniers I have enjoyed from there.

The first thing we do is turn all of the pieces over and take out all the edges. I'm pretty sure everyone does puzzles like that, but in case you don't, that is what we do.

Our process of building the puzzle is pretty cool too. We kind all pick what part of the puzzle we want to focus on. I wanted to do the princesses and my dad wanted to do the monorail. Erika did the edges, and my mom did the Disneyland letters. Once we get going we realize that all of our pieces fit together and the puzzle is almost done! It is so awesome seeing how everyone did their part to make the puzzle happen.

This is the finished puzzle. I had to leave before it was completely finished because I had work :( I left at the above picture ^.

I had an awesome holiday yesterday! I hope you all did as well. I love having days that I can just spend with my family :)

Day Ten [10] / Erika's Birthday Dinner

Your bedroom. (in it's current state)

Lucky for you guys I just cleaned up my room!! WOO! I might have know that today was the day where I show you my room, but I really was going to clean it today anyways. It's not spotless either. But here are a few pics of my room. Enjoy the feast your eyes are about to have...

My desk. Yep, dr pepper is there.

My closet. Beautiful.

The quotes and stuff on my wall. The fan is from Japan, and there are various notes I have received from people that I want to keep. They make me feel great!

And lastly, my bed. All made. Also my hamper, fan, purse/scarf on top of my bed.

Also, little mini blog, tonight I went with my family to Chuck-a-rama for Erika's birthday dinner! Her birthday is actually tomorrow, but we did it tonight. Sad that I will be missing the cake tomorrow because I have work, but happy birthday Erika! You are going to be the worlds best 17 year old. But for now, you are the worlds best 16 year old :) I love you! I can't wait to be home over Christmas break to be with my fam. So close!

Day Five

A picture of yourself from 10 years ago.

I am not sure how old I am in pictures..So I think if you average out my age in all these pictures it will give you a 10 year old me...

AHHHH!!!

So today has been a pretty great day! After work, me and Rosie taught hair and make up tips for a relief society activity. It was so much fun. I feel like we really taught so much to them! I taught the hair tips and Rosie taught the make up. Afterwards, we went to Pizza Factory to gorge ourselves on delicious food (Rosie had a gift card so we were able to afford this :) )

After stuffing ourselves, we were off to Tarjay (target). After all of our awesome make up tips and newly found self confidence, we wanted to look at make up. Rosie had tried my mousse foundation and really liked it, so we wanted to find it in a better shade. We ended up finding the PERFECT shade. She looks pretty rockin right now. I also got some new eyeshadow for 5 smackers. Rosie got a gigantic pallette for 15 dollars and it is so awesome!

Anyways, we pretty much just went silly with gettin stuff. It is e.l.f. brand so everything was very inexpensive. I am very pleased with that Tarjay trip.

When we got home Rosie tried out her new make up. She looks awesome! Here is a picture.

Have a great evening errbody. Oh yeah, and I straightened her hair. Looks great!

Good Times!

I don't know if anyone else does this, but I love the times when I listen to old music that brings back memories of good old childhood days. Me and Rosie are in our room doing just that. Right now it is Hillary Duff's c.d. It is crazy how much I remember the songs. It is seriously so much fun doing this.

Here is some of the music that I love listening to because of the memories:
1. Hillary Duff
2. Jesse McCartney
3. Backstreet Boys (if this is not on your list you did not have a proper childhood)
4. George Strait-this is what my dad would listen to when we were younger. It is so much fun!
5. Clint Black-for the same reasons as George Strait. My dad used to think he was a cowboy :)
6. Moosebutter. They are just weird and totally remind me of good times had.

And I have to throw in the Christmas music that reminds me of good Christmas times:
1.Johnny mathis
2. Ray Connif's singers
3. Trans Siberian Orchestra

I hope you all have special music childhood memories as well!!! If you do, listen to them. It really is so much fun :)

Pumpkin Carving

Tonight for FHE in my ward we carved pumpkins! It was tons of fun. We originally planned to have 4 pumpkins and have teams of carvers, but people in our family ended up bringing some of their own, so we had 7! That made it was cooler. I was with a guy named Lee and we made a ninja turtle! Super intense, I know. Lee basically did all the cool and hard stuff and I was moral support, but hey, I enjoyed it.

This is our hot pumpkin all lit up. Don't you love his scowl? I do. I didn't get pictures of the other pumpkins...Now I wish I did. Everyone's turned out awesome. I really had a good time tonight :)

And just so ya'll know, after Halloween on thursday it is officially time to start playing Christmas music.

Frankenweenie

Hey it's Friday! Never thought you'd make it, huh? Well you did! To celebrate me and my sista Erika went to see a movie together tonight. Hold on, back up. Before the movie we went to get some food at Chick fil A. Delish. Then off to the theater we went.

We were buying our tickets and I said, "2 tickets for Bourne Legacy at 7:15 pm please." I said this because on their website they said it would be showing TONIGHT at the above time. But the reply was, "we don't have that movie anymore." I was a little bugged because the website was wrong, but I wasn't going to let it ruin my evenin. So we got some tickets for the movie Frankenweenie. That show started later so we went to Target to look around.

That ended up being a good thing because we got some candy to enjoy during our flick. Frankenweenie is such a cute movie. I thought it was going to be kind of lame, but I truly and honestly enjoyed every second. Definitely reccomend it to all looking for a good and fun family Halloween movie.

I wanted to share this pic though. I got some peanun m&m's, and the bag inside the box was white. How cool/weird is that?

High Five!

I don't know why, but I always have a hard time thinking about what to write on this silly blog of mine. So I decided to just give you a list of 5 awesome things to update you on my life as of late.

1. School is going really good. I've learned perms (included in this are shampoo sets and chemical relaxers), coloring, different curls, dreads, and begin learning how to cut hair this week! I got my scissors today and am totally excited .I have 2 pairs of scissors, some feathering shears, and a razor. All of which are a bit intimidating. I learned that my kit of scissors is worth aproximately $900. I better take care of these babies :D

2. Work is going really well too. I feel very confident with what I am doing and absolutely love the people that I work with. I feel so blessed to have a job where I love working. I really don't think I would like it if the people didn't rock as much as they do :) My hours have definitely been cut back because I need time to focus in school. But still, I have a pretty decent income so that I can eat more than mere ramen noodles.

3. Living here at Glenwood apartments is totally fun as well. I love my roommates to death. They are all so awesome. I was worried at first that I would get weird people, and they are so not weird. And of course I love my roomie/cousin/bestie Rosie. She is so genuinely happy. It really makes living away from home awesome. Poor Erika is home alone this week because my parents decided to go to Disneyland this week. I hope she stays alive. I called her 30 minutes ago and all sounds well.

4. General Conference was amazing!! I know every single girl is saying this right now, but I feel so inspired to serve a mission. I have not yet made a decision like many of the other girls. There are so many different factors to consider. I will definitely be praying and fasting and giving this decision a great deal of thought. Anyways, I think my favorite talk was by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. He is so bold. When taking in what he was talking about, I was brought to tears. We need to show our Savior how much we love him. I had never thought about it so deeply until this talk. It is a great insight.

5. I was able to go home this weekend and see my family! I especially loved seeing my sweet dog Kujo. She is too cute. I loved spending conference with her and my family. I don't think I could ever go a conference with out my family. Unless it was  completely necessary. We also had the opportunity to go to my Grandma Gustafson's house for our semi-annual Sunday afternoon conference session dinner. I love this tradition. My family is great.

Thanks for reading! I encourage you to make a list or at least think of the cool things that have happened in your life lately. It is amazing how good/blessed you feel when you reflect on the positive things that happen ALL the time. Have a great Monday everyone!!! :)

Homecoming!!

So this weekend I was able to go home! I did Erika's homecoming hair on Saturday. I practiced on Friday night so I knew what I needed to improve on for the real hairdo. Here are some pictures of my BEAUTIFUL sister!!!

This is me doing her hair. We're watching Kung Fu Panda.

Isn't she so beautiful??

Side view of all her pearls and stuff :)

Kinda sassy.

So grown up!

The full look.

Success!! Yes I made that flower.

I hope she had so much fun! I really think she looked nice. I love first dates.

Jewelry Organizer and Frozen Yogurt

So my wonderful sister made me something to help me organize my jewelry in my apartment. And it is super cute too! I finally got around to hanging it up tonight. It looks good. And it's taking up the last of my wall space :) Here are some pictures:

My pathetic selection of "dangle" earrings. I have a lot of studs that won't work on this. So I will have to get more over the years :)

And my necklaces. The most important thing of mine that needs organizing. I love it!! Thanks Erika.

And when me and Rosie were done with that and doing out laundry, we went to Menchies for frozen yogurt. We were celebrating moving in. This is a picture of my chocolate dipped pretzel flavored yogurt. It was basically a salted chocolate taste Sounds weird, but it was good. I added reeses and hot fudge. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach though because I couldn't finish it. But it was delicious :)

I hope everyone else enjoyed their day as well!
